Schickt uns eure Version von „Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life“!

Wenn Du ein Musikinstrument spielst und du hast Lust mitzumachen, dann lade Dir die Noten und das Playback herunter und lass Dich dabei Filmen, wie du zum Playback deine Version des Klassikers „Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life“ einspielst. Das ist das Ziel: Wir schneiden alle Videos, die uns erreichen zu einem großen Musikvideo zusammen und jeder soll mit seinem Beitrag einmal im Video zu sehen sein.

Wichtig: Wir verwenden Eure eingeschickten Videos für unser Musikvideo so, dass niemand allein zu hören ist. Deshalb ist es nicht schlimm, wenn auf eurem Video nicht alles ganz perfekt klingt. Wir mischen den Sound ab, denn es soll für alle etwas Tolles werden, niemand kann sich hier „blamieren“!!!

Du willst mitmachen? Ganz einfach:

• Entscheide Dich, wie Du bei unserem Online-Video-Projekt mitmachen möchtest und lade dein Playback auf dein Handy oder auf dein IPod/Mp3-Player an.
• Auf der rechten Seite findest du für Gesang deinen Text und für die Instrumentengruppen die Noten für dein Instrument.
• Wähle aus, ob Du die erste oder die zweite Stimme (oder beide in zwei Videos…) deines Instruments spielen möchtest. Für „tiefe“ Instrumente gibt es nur eine Stimme, das ist die „Bass-Line“ des Songs.
• Höre Dir in Ruhe dein Playback an, um es kennenzulernen.
• Auf dem Playback hörst du eine kurze Einleitung. Im letzten Takt der Einleitung hörst Du vier Glockenschläge, die deinen Einsatz ankündigen. Dann spielt eine Klavierbegleitung im erforderlichen Tempo genau eine Strophe von unserem Song.
• Drucke deinen Gesangstext/ Notentext aus oder lade ihn auf dein Tablet. Beschäftige Dich mit der richtigen Textverteilung beim Singen und bei deinem Instrument mit der korrekten Tonfolge. Der Song ist „Swing-Musik“. Das bedeutet, dass notierte Achtel-Noten triolisch punktiert ausgeführt werden müssen (das nennt man einen ternären Rhythmus). Tipp: Wer unsicher ist, hört sich einfach das Original mal auf youtube an.
• Jetzt kannst du versuchen, zum Playback zu spielen. Dafür nimmst du einen Kopfhörer, am besten nur auf einem Ohr, damit du dich selber spielen oder singen hörst. Übe in Ruhe den Song um auf das geforderte Tempo zu kommen Tipp: Langsam üben kann man viel besser erst einmal ohne Playback!
• Wenn Du Dich sicher fühlst, suchst Du Dir eine Kamerafrau oder einen Kameramann, der Dich mit dem Smartphone/Digitalkamera filmt, während Du zu unserem Playback singst oder spielst. Bitte filme im Querformat! Also einmal das Handy auf die lange Seite drehen.
• Fülle die Einwilligungserklärung aus, lass deine Eltern/Erziehungsberechtigte unterschreiben und schick uns mit dem Video ein Foto davon, so dass wir deinen Beitrag auch nutzen können. Das fällt natürlich weg, wenn Du schon 18 Jahre oder älter bist. Dann brauchen wir aber ein Foto von deinem Ausweis.
• Schicke alles bis zum 30.08.2020 an challenge@jkj2020.de. Wenn die Videodatei zu groß ist, dann lade alles auf einen Filetransfer-Dienst deiner Wahl hoch (Google Drive, WeTransfer etc) und schick uns den Downloadlink.

The school of music Ratingen and the JKJ2020 (youth culture year Ratingen 2020) organize a large join-in concert video project. Send us your version of “Always look on the bright side of life”!

If you play an instrument and you want to take part, download the notes and the playback and let yourself be filmed while playing or singing your version of the classic “Always look on the bright side of life”. The right sheet music and the matching playback can be found on the right side as PDF and as MP3 for download.

That is the purpose: We cut all the videos that reach us into a large video and everyone should be seen once with their contribution in this video. Important: We use your submitted videos for our music video, so that nobody can be heard alone. Therefore it is not bad if everything doesn’t sound perfect on your video. We mix the sound, because it should be something great for everyone. Nobody can “embarrass” himself here!!

Do you want to join? It is easy:

• Decide how you want to participate in our online video project and then download your playback onto your smartphone or onto your iPod / Mp3-player.
• On the right side you will find your text for vocals and the sheet music for your instrument.
• Choose whether you want to play the first or second voice (or both in two videos…) of your instrument. There is only one voice for “deep” instruments, that is “bass line” of the song.
• Listen to your playback to get to know it.
• You will hear a short introduction on the playback. In the last beat of the introduction you hear four bell chimes that announce your entry. Then a piano accompaniment plays exactly one strophe of our song at the required tempo.
• Print your lyrics / sheet music or load it onto your tablet. Practice the right text distribution when singing and with your instrument with the correct tone sequence. The song is “swing music”. This means that the noted eight notes must be triolated (this is called a ternary rhythm. TIP: If you are unsure, listen first the original on youtube.
• Now you can try to play to the playback. To do this, use earphone, preferably only in one ear, so that you ca hear yourself playing or singing. Practice the song unhurriedly to get the required tempo. TIP: Slow practice is much better at first without playback.
• Then when you feel safe, ask somebody to film you with your smartphone / digital camera while you sing or play to our playback. Please film in landscape format! So turn the phone on the long side.
• Fill out the declaration of consent (Einwilligungserklärung), ask your parents / legal quardians to sign it and send us a photo of it whit the video so that we can use your contribution. Of course, this does not apply if you are already 18 years or older. Then we need a photo of your ID.
• Send everything to challenge@jkj2020.de by August 30^th , 2020. If the Video file is too large, upload everything to a file transfer service of your choice (Google Drive, WeTransfer etc.) and send us the download link.
